Bats common in Michigan are insectivorous, catching small flying insects, by echolocation. Some bats consume up to one-half their weight of insects in a night. On November 1, a show from the Organization for Bat Conservation at the Cranbrook Institute of Science will arrive at Fenner Nature Center with big and little bats from all over the world. Meet their bat-man. Wear your costume, stop in at our gift shop and receive a coupon towards a purchase. A prize will be awarded to the battiest guest.Call 483-4224 - Fenner Nature Center for information.
