Photo Share: May is the month for Warblers

At first glance I thought it was a yellow finch, then looked closer when I heard his beautiful song! Thought you might like the photos. - Holly

Make sure to keep your suet feeders full and baths full of clean water. May is the month for warblers! Keep your eyes and ears open for new birds. Thank you Holly for sharing your warbler with us!

He looks like a Pine Warbler. These yellowish warblers are hard to spot as they move along high branches to prod clumps of needles with their sturdy bills. If you don’t see them, listen for their steady, musical trill, which sounds similar to a Chipping Sparrow.

If anyone else would like to share a photograph of nature send it to bloubird@gmail.com and I'll put it on the Friday Photo posts.
