How to celebrate #InternationalCatDay

If you've ever tried to call a cat somewhere in a foreign country, you may have noticed that they don't always react. Why? Because apparently international cats react to different sounds.

In England, they say chh-chh-chh, in Turkey, they say pissy-pissy-pissy, in Germany, they say Komm her miez-miez-miez, in Japan it's neko-chan oide. Each country gets a cat's attention with different noises.

In my family it is definitely the crinkle of a treat bag that gets their attention.

August 8 is #InternationalCatDay. To celebrate, make sure all your bird feeders are full for your little buddies' viewing pleasure.
