Flags with birds

Flag Days are celebrated around the world. In the United States, Flag Day is celebrated on the day we adopted of the flag of the United States, which happened on June 14, 1777. While the country’s flag consists of stars and stripes, Michigan’s state flag has a bald eagle to represent the United States flying above symbols of Michigan, an elk and moose.

From Wikimedia Commons I found some other unique bird symbols on flags from around the world. There were many doves and eagles along with storks, parrots, owls, roosters, ducks and more.
Birds have a predominantly positive connotation. They can symbolize peace, freedom, or strength. They also represent what is important to the people of the country and traditional symbols.
