Photo Share: Helping baby animals

I get a lot of desperate people calling for someone to help them with birds they have found that are in distress. I immediately send them to someone with experience in injured or orphaned birds. Nottingham Nature Nook (NNN) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in East Lansing that raises and releases wildlife. And that wildlife isn't always birds. Faina volunteers at the Nook and sent me some of the other little critters that needed a little help this spring. Besides the many squirrels and bunnies there has also been a mink baby, a gray fox, and a chubby little groundhog in need of assistance.

If you would like to make a donation to help support the Nook, Wild Birds Unlimited (East Lansing, MI) has a donation box on the counter or a check can be made directly to Nottingham Nature Nook (NNN) 16848 Towar Ave, East Lansing, MI 48823. (517) 351-7304. You can also go to Amazon's Gift registry and look up Nottingham Nature Nook to send some much needed supplies.

And if you are wondering what baby bird feeding time looks like here is a video that Faina shared with me: https://youtu.be/-MNH4fBtCc0
